About Joshua Miles of JWM Acoustics
Joshua Miles has been an artist, designer, and woodworker for his entire life. His works have been shown in more than 40 galleries around the world. His sculptures, paintings, and hand-crafted furniture designs reside in collections in more than 20 countries. He founded Joshua W Miles Designs LLC in 1999 followed by JWM Acoustics in 2001, specializing in high-end, hand-crafted, and custom-designed monitors and speaker systems for recording studios and audiophile listening rooms. These systems are also in collections around the globe and have been regarded by industry leaders as some of the best in the world.
Joshua started being recognized as a master finisher by his peers over 20 years ago during his time living on the island of Oahu. After returning to his native Texas, he began sharing his love of fine craftsmanship with several other high-end companies and furniture manufacturers by designing and building for them as well. Now he has decided to take his work to the next level with pianos.
Because Joshua is intimately familiar with, and loves traditional, old-school finishes, it is only natural he moves into hand-crafted instruments. And because he is also very well acquainted with the newest and most high technology coatings, he brings a whole new angle to finishing the world’s most beautiful pianos.
